Pause. Breathe. Focus on your scope of work.

We are being bombarded by so much in this age of information. It's quite overwhelming. Being overstimulated can easily become a set back to whatever it is you have going on. We've somehow become programmed during most breaks and downtime to go check out what the latest news is on social media. In doing so we are fed tons of emotions, opinions, good news, bad news, the latest killings, and of course siting's of UFO's (just my algorithim? Oh, ok.)

Taking in these spirts of information can have an effect on our own brains and mentality. Whether we notice it or not, our mood can quickly become affected which in turn can effect the work that we put out.

I challenge you when you feel the urge to check what's happening in the world to pause and do something productive and personally positively stimulating for you. Instead of going to Instagram maybe try opening a 5 to 10 minute podcast on a subject of interest. Instead of Facebook try meditating and doing breath work for 10 minutes. A stretch, a walk, checking on a friend or family member could also be beneficial.

Above all else, remember that you have a job to do. You can only do what you are supposed to do. Regardless of what is going on, stay focused on your scope of work.
